Bullying?  Or maybe just teasing?  Either way, I don't like it.

So my son comes home from school and tells me that his classmate has been waiving Cheetos(which my son is allergic to) in his face.  While doing this the child laughs and says, You can't have these and they are soo good, hahaha."   My 38 (or so…) self tries to remain calm while my 15 year old self wants to pummel the kid.  The teacher thankfully understood the issue and spoke with the other child as soon as I mentioned something.  This type of teasing has occurred multiple times with different kids in the last few months. I realize that young kids can't imagine the seriousness of what food can do to someone.  Believe me it is hard to understand until you witness an anaphylactic reaction. I am very happy that most of the kids in school try to protect and include my son.  It does scare me that food allergies will always be a target that others can use to bully my son; I just hope that it never escalates to something that lands him in the hospital.  Kids tease other kids, that is just a fact of life.  But I don't have to like it.

I'm so sorry your son has to encounter that kind of behavior from other kids. My daughter, 7th grade, also was targeted over the years. Usually the teachers responded well and basically separated the problem kids. The school was also good about trying to educate

Wow, this is indeed upsetting to see children be so mean and cruel.
